Main research directions:
The development of measurement instruments and sensor techniques for particulate matter and trace pollution gases on the ground, tower, aircraft, balloon or other mobile platforms;
Analysis of atmospheric measurement data to study chemical kinetics, heterogeneous chemistry processes and interlink between meteorology and pollution;
Analysis of high-density network data to reveal both local sources, their emission spectra and temporal profiles, and the larger-scale regional transport of more processed air plumes and corresponding secondary pollutants such as particles and ozone;
Measurement of sound, in particular that of environmental noises, and deep learning based noise recognition;
Published over 50 peer-reviewed papers. Organizer or participant in several national or international field measurement campaigns. Invited speaker at the General Assemblies of the European Geosciences Union (2015, 2016), and at Peking University, Fudan University, the Chinese Research Academy of Environment Sciences, the Institute of Atmospheric Physics Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese National Environmental Monitoring Centre, and Hefei University of Technology.
